Sclerotherapy

A vein can wait!

One of the major setbacks people experience from varicose veins is the lack of confidence they have when it comes to exposing the regions that are afflicted. Whether it is facial veins or those on the legs, they remain an embarrassing reminder to some who have committed themselves to covering up or wearing compression stockings.

Seeking treatment for spider and varicose veins offers more than piece of mind when it comes to appearance. In many cases the pain associated with veins is deeply diminished and blood circulation significantly improved.

Question time

Clinically administered and without anesthesia, a sclerotherapy treatment lasts 10-40 minutes, depending on the treated area.

And more ...

The improvements are visible after each treatment, and there is usually two or three treatments to achieve optimal results.

No one specific cause. Definite genetic component. Primary changes to the integrity of the vein wall(poorly organized smooth muscle, reduced amounts of elastin, increased amounts of collagen)-all lead to lack of compliance and diminished coaptation of valves. All changes to the wall and valvular insufficiency lead to venous hypertension and resultant inflammation.
