WHAT IS HYPERHIDROSIS AND HOW DOES BOTOX® MEDICAL TREATMENT WORK?
Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, is not dangerous but can significantly affect comfort and quality of life. It is caused by overactive nerves that stimulate the sweat glands and most often affects the underarms, hands, feet, face, or scalp.
An effective treatment involves medical Botox® injections, which temporarily block the nerve signals responsible for sweating. This quick, safe, and minimally invasive procedure reduces perspiration for several months, with no downtime. Results appear within a few days and bring increased comfort, greater confidence, and a marked improvement in quality of life.
Dr. Rowen, experienced in Botox® injections, provides this treatment with the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
WHAT IS THE TREATMENT PROCESS AND HOW EFFECTIVE IS IT?
Botox® treatment for hyperhidrosis involves a series of micro-injections under the skin with a very fine needle, causing only mild discomfort comparable to mosquito bites. No recovery period is required, and normal activities can be resumed immediately.
Reduced sweating is usually noticeable within days after the session and reaches full effect within two weeks. Results typically last 4 to 6 months (sometimes up to 8 months), and regular treatments are needed to maintain benefits.
Private insurance may cover all or part of the treatment. Please check with your insurance provider for details of your coverage.
