RADIESSE® – Collagen Biostimulation

RADIESSE® is a dermal filler used to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the lines that run from the corner of the nose to the corner of the mouth). It is also effective for restoring volume to the back of the hands and enhancing jawline contours.

Radiesse® is an injectable filler made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), a substance found in the form of microspheres suspended in a gel. Once injected under the skin, these particles form a supportive structure and stimulate fibroblasts to naturally boost collagen and elastin production.

Treatment typically takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the area and number of injections.

The initial effect is visible immediately after the procedure. However, final results typically appear after 2 to 3 months. For most patients, the effect lasts on average 12 to 18 months.

The results of Radiesse® injections may vary between individuals depending on their age, health, lifestyle, and adherence to post-treatment recommendations.

Radiesse® injections are a minimally invasive procedure. Immediately after the treatment, you can resume your daily activities. Mild redness, bruising, or swelling at the injection sites may occur but typically resolves on its own within a few days.

Biostimulators are compounds injected into the deep dermis that stimulate natural collagen and elastin production, thickening the skin and improving texture.

Unlike fillers, which provide immediate volume, biostimulators regenerate tissue gradually, slowing skin aging while restoring density and firmness.

From age 20 onward, collagen production naturally decreases by about 1–1.5% per year, eventually leading to skin laxity. Biostimulators help slow this process by preserving and stimulating the body’s natural collagen production.
