WHAT ARE THEY?

Wrinkles and fine lines are creases and folds that naturally appear on the skin over time. They are especially visible on areas exposed to the sun, such as the face, neck, chest, and hands.

Wrinkles are deeper furrows, while fine lines are more superficial markings. Though they are a natural part of aging, many internal and external factors can influence their appearance.

HOW TO PREVENT WRINKLES AND FINE LINES?

Daily sun protection
Applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) every day, even on cloudy days, is the best prevention against premature wrinkles caused by sun exposure. Be sure to reapply every two hours, especially after swimming or sweating.

Regular hydration
Apply a moisturizer suited to your skin type daily, especially after cleansing. Look for products containing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, which attracts and retains moisture in the skin, or ceramides to help restore the skin barrier.

Adopt a healthy diet
A diet rich in antioxidants (fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruits, berries, and leafy greens), essential fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6), and proteins supports the production of collagen and elastin, helping preserve a youthful skin appearance.

Quit smoking
Avoiding tobacco is crucial for preventing premature wrinkles. Smoking accelerates the breakdown of collagen and elastin—two key skin components that maintain firmness and structure.

Improve sleep quality
Sleep is essential for skin repair. At night, the skin regenerates and produces new tissue. Make sure you get enough sleep to allow your skin to repair effectively.

Avoid excessive facial expressions
Reduce repeated facial movements, such as frowning or squinting, especially if you are prone to expression lines.

HOW TO TREAT WRINKLES AND FINE LINES?

Neuromodulator injections
Neuromodulator injections is a popular treatment to smooth expression lines, particularly forehead lines, crow’s feet, and lines around the lips. It works by relaxing the underlying muscles, reducing the formation of wrinkles.

Dermal fillers (Hyaluronic Acid)
Hyaluronic acid injections fill wrinkles and fine lines by restoring volume to affected areas such as the cheeks, nasolabial folds, and around the lips. This treatment helps restore a youthful, plump appearance.

Chemical peels
Chemical peels with acids (such as glycolic acid or TCA) exfoliate the skin’s surface layers, reducing fine lines and improving texture. They can also stimulate collagen production for an anti-aging effect.

Microneedling (Dermapen Dp4)
Microneedling uses fine needles to create micro-perforations in the skin, stimulating collagen production and improving skin texture. This reduces fine lines and enhances the skin’s overall appearance.

Fractional laser treatments (FRAX 1500 and Clear + Brilliant)
Laser treatments such as Frax or Clear + Brilliant smooth the skin and reduce wrinkles by stimulating collagen production and exfoliating the outer layers of the skin.

Anti-aging creams
Creams containing ingredients such as retinol, vitamin C, and peptides can improve skin texture, boost collagen production, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Consistent use is key for long-term results.

Radiofrequency (RF) SylfirmX
Radiofrequency treatments stimulate the deeper layers of the skin to promote collagen production, firm the skin, and smooth wrinkles. These non-invasive treatments are an option for improving skin elasticity without surgery.

Non-surgical facelift (Ultherapy®)
Ultherapy uses ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin. This non-invasive treatment helps lift and firm the skin, reducing sagging and restoring volume.
