Microneedling RF is a non-ablative treatment that uses microneedles to deliver radiofrequency (RF) energy into various layers of the skin, including the deeper layers where it helps regenerate tissue and revitalize the skin, improving texture, firmness, tightening, and lifting.

At XOMED, we offer Microneedling RF treatments using the SYLFIRMX device, specifically designed to safely deliver RF energy for optimal results with minimal downtime.

Sylfirm X is the first microneedling radiofrequency (RF) system combining both pulsed waves (PW) and continuous waves (CW), approved by Health Canada and the FDA. It is also the only RF device equipped with Dual Wave RF technology, making it suitable for use on nearly all skin types.

The Sylfirm X RF microneedling system is indicated for the treatment of melasma, redness, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), scars, skin laxity, and enlarged pores.

Before treatment, the skin is carefully cleansed and a numbing cream is applied for comfort.

The procedure is performed using a handpiece with sterile, single-use tips that deliver fractional RF energy through micro-needles inserted into the skin. Sylfirm X uses non-invasive bipolar dual-wave RF technology, creating a targeted electrothermal reaction that treats abnormal blood vessels and damaged tissue.

• The Pulsed Wave (PW) mode allows selective coagulation to normalize hyperactive melanogenesis, responsible for darker pigmentation.
• The Continuous Wave (CW) mode treats damaged skin cells in depth while preserving overall skin health.

RF energy is delivered evenly through precisely leveled electrodes, reaching the ideal depth for optimal, enhanced results.

Most patients tolerate the treatment very well. For more intensive protocols, additional comfort measures can be provided.

SylfirmX RF microneedling is a low-downtime procedure. Patients may experience redness and mild swelling for 12 to 24 hours and should avoid applying makeup until the following day. Mild flaking and a rough texture are normal during the first week. Minor bruising may occur and can be covered with makeup.

A series of three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart is recommended for best results. Many patients notice improvement after the first or second session, with maximum results seen about three months after the last treatment. Maintenance sessions are recommended every six to twelve months.
