DP4™ Dermapen Microneedling
Your skin has its own healing and regenerative abilities. Medical DP4™ microneedling with the Dermapen activates them to improve skin texture, evenness and radiance. Offered at our Knowlton clinic (Brome Lake).
What is medical microneedling?
Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, creates micro-perforations in the skin using fine sterile needles. These controlled micro-injuries beneath the surface trigger a natural repair process that stimulates collagen and elastin production. The treatment is minimally invasive and suits all skin types.
What microneedling can improve
- Acne, surgical or traumatic scars (scars and stretch marks)
- Stretch marks
- Enlarged pores and dull skin (dull skin and enlarged pores)
- Pigmentation spots (dark spots and hyperpigmentation)
- Melasma (melasma)
- Wrinkles and fine lines (wrinkles and fine lines)
- Skin laxity
What sets DP4 microneedling apart
The DP4™ glides over the skin, creating millions of fine, vertical fractional micro-channels up to 104% faster than other microneedling pens. This lets the skin focus on treating the concern itself rather than on secondary damage from the procedure. The DP4™ is the world’s number 1 microneedling pen, approved by the FDA (USA), CE (Europe), Health Canada, Australia and ANVISA (Brazil).
- 120 pulses per second.
- Vertical needle technology for more precision and safety.
- 16 ultra-fine 33G needles, up to 1,920 micro-channels per second.
- Adjustable needle depth and speed for personalized treatments.
- Single-use sterile needle cartridges.
- Treats scars up to 3 mm deep.
- Often performed without topical anesthetic, thanks to its speed.
In-clinic vs. at-home microneedling
At-home or non-medical spa devices are shallower and generally do not perforate the skin, so results are less visible. They also carry risks:
- irritation from overuse;
- infection or scarring if the device pierces the skin;
- spreading warts or herpes;
- marks or pigmentation changes from excessive pressure.
For a safe treatment, microneedling should be performed by a qualified professional.
Number of sessions
Treatments are generally repeated every 8 to 12 weeks, or as recommended by your professional. Medical-grade skincare helps optimize results.
